Aurora have now been authorised to teach the National Navigation Awards. Dont get lost again. If you are a mountainbiker a skier or a walker, you need to know how to navigate. Anyone can navigate on a clear day with good visibility, but if the mist comes in or your benighted and need to get out the wilderness are you confident enough with a map and compass to get to safety? If not then we have a course for you! The courses will be run at Chatelherault country park in South Lanarkshire a beautifull spot with excellent communication links. The courses are run on 3 levels Bronze, Silver and Gold each with 12 hours contact time. You owe it to yourself to find out how to navigate.
Spring, time to dust off the mountain bikes, walking boots, canoes and sunglasses. We are actively taking bookings for our summer walking packages and canoeing. Have a look through our site and see what you fancy. We guarantee to show you a good time!
We are also updating our teambuilding packages for schools, colleges and organisations. Who says learning can't be fun? If you think your organisation would benefit from our services, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We guarantee that you will have a tremendous amount of fun and your team will benefit from it enormously.

Just had a fabulous week bumps training in Tignes. Pure personal development. Plenty snow and good skiing my thanks to Dougie and the guys at R21 for a great weeks training. They are worth looking at if you are a performance skier or Instructor going for the Eurotest. Great training and excellent value. Check out the link on our links page.

We are currently working really hard training for the forthcoming snowsports season, watch these pages for news of when Aurora is going skiing. We will be offering interesting packages for all. If you are into snowsports get yourself to the gym and try some squats! The dry slope, or indeed the big fridge, aka xscape. Its great practice and you will really improve the quality of your on snow experience. Give it a try, you know it makes sense!! Keep your eye on these pages for some killer pictures and some great information about snowsports.
Had a fantastic Teambuilding morning on Friday at Coatbridge High School with 70 school prefects who wanted to get to know each other as team mates and learn how to work together. The day was themed around leadership, teams, and good citizenship. We posed the question; were they valley people or mountain people? Im glad to say they were all mountain people. (see Winning by Frank Dick).
Despite pouring rain the kids had a great time and so did we. My thanks to Lesley Robertson for the opportunity of working with her star pupils. They were a credit to themselves and to the school. They should now be a lot better prepared for the challenges of the new school year.
